Light-it’s team developed a platform that delivers full AI assistance for healthcare teams. With features like tailored AI modes, Speech-to-Text notes, Team Management, and Deep File Analysis, CompliantChatGPT boosts productivity across documentation, research, decision-making, and patient communication.
To ensure HIPAA compliance, data is secured with end-to-end encryption (AES-256 for data at rest and HTTPS with TLS 1.2 for data in transit).
Role-based access controls and detailed audit logs track user activity, while regular audits and compliance checks reinforce security. Together, these safeguards ensure strict adherence to HIPAA privacy and security standards.
The Process
Our Innovation Lab sparked this solution from a simple but critical question: How can we help doctors save time on administrative tasks? How can we enable healthcare professionals to use ChatGPT in a HIPAA-compliant way?We conducted in-depth research, focusing on building features that both doctors and patients could trust. We then mapped out an MVP roadmap by aligning technical insights with each team’s priorities.
Design played a central role throughout the project, as good design in this case implies trust. In addition, the wireframe had to be simple, just as Chat GPT itself, as clinicians were already familiar with it from personal use and experience. Design choices were intentional and purpose-led to allow for the tool to grow to what it is today.
Our team brought Compliant to life by turning early concepts into detailed mockups and building interactive prototypes. We launched an MVP, tested it in real scenarios, and refined it through continuous iteration. Today, more than a simple chatbot, Compliant is a medical copilot with functions that extend and continue to help clinicians, students and providers to offer the best care possible.
