Friday approached Light-it as they needed a custom portal to enhance their patient experience.
Light-it designed and developed a custom platform that lets patients book and join virtual consultations, request prescriptions, and track their medication history, all while staying connected to care teams. Beyond the clinical workflows, we built in messaging, community, and coaching spaces to keep patients motivated and supported long term.
The Process
Design played a central role throughout the entire project. It was essential that the new platform not only embodied Friday’s brand and mission but also felt intuitive and personalized for each patient. We followed an iterative, hands-on process, strategizing, sketching, testing, and refining, until we landed on a wireframe that balanced form and function. Every decision was guided by usability, flexibility, and a consistent visual language.
With design in place, our development team brought the platform to life, working closely with Friday’s team at every step. We transformed early concepts into polished mockups and interactive prototypes to validate the user experience early on. From there, we built the MVP and stress-tested it in real-world conditions, continuously refining it through tight development cycles and rigorous QA. The result: a stable, scalable product that meets Friday’s needs today and allows growth.

The platform centralizes everything in one place, allowing users to manage their data, billing, and consultations, handle purchases, book 1:1 or group coaching sessions, and access a trusted hub of information. This was possible by integrating Healthie, Open Loop, and Stripe and adding thoughtful customizations .
